Note: The starting salary will be determined by the Administrative Office of United States Courts depending on years of legal experience and other factors. VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR JUDGESHIP in NEW YORK EASTERN BANKRUPTCY COURT.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit invites applications from qualified candidates for a 14-year appointment as United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of New York, with a duty station in Central Islip, New York. The selection process will be confidential and competitive. Applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability. The current annual salary of a United States Bankruptcy Judge is $223,836.
