Please note: When you file a bankruptcy petition under Chapter 7 or 13, a filing fee is required unless an Application to Pay the Filing Fee in Installments or, in a Chapter 7 case, an Application to Have the Chapter 7 Filing Fee Waived, is simultaneously filed with the Petition.

The Petition Filing Fee can be paid using one of the following methods:
- Online Payment via Pay.gov (See instructions: Pay.gov Instructions)
- Pay by debit card or ACH (electronic bank transfer)
- Visit: https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/73185821
- Debit Card
- Accepted in person at the Clerk’s Office
- Credit cards are not accepted from self-represented individuals for payment of the petition filing fees.
- Money Order
- Payable to: Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court or Clerk, United States Court
- Must be issued by a recognized provider (e.g., post office, bank)
- Bank Check (Cashier’s Check)
- Payable to: Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court or Clerk, United States Court
- Cash (In Person Only)
- Must be in the exact amount.
- The Court does not make change.
